Experimenting with techniques for larger scale works : Altered Perceptions

Continuing work ...

photo documenting part of images yf 20
I find it helpful to photo document the ongoing progress of the work, it helps  me to filter through... learn to either stop, change, or keep working on the image... Most of the time it's down to being flexible and not to hasty not too impatient...cultivate curiosity...what if...just experimenting and intuitively responding to the evolving image....Acrylic paint medium is very versatile and works well a variety of other mediums ...In these works I decided to use thickening agents, mixing it into the paint ... hoping that the texture would then add depth and interest as the image evolved. Using vibrant colours that clash, then a further dynamism is worked into the whole process.  Being experimental generates a sense of anticipation, about the next move...from the chaos forms start to emerge out of an abstracted space.
